Obituary of Frank Silvano

SILVANO, Frank - Through the years of battling with illness, we had always said he was waiting for something before he could leave us. Suddenly on February 22 in his 67th year he decided he had seen all he was here to see. He leaves behind his most devoted wife of 40 years Ermelinda. Cherished father of Maria, Lori and Lucy. Son of the late Pasquale and Maria Silvano. Dear brother of Antonietta Ranieri (late Harry), Giovanni (Anita), Alex (late Teresa), the late Alberto (late Camilla), the late Antonio (Graziella), Peter (Anna), Giuseppina Nocent (Luciano) and Luisa DiBerardino (Mike). Son in law of the late Fernando and Giuseppina Pagnotta. Brother in law of Giovanni Pagnotta (Amalia) , Eugenio Pagnotta (Angela), Michael Pagnotta (Franca) , Arturo Pagnotta (Ida), Carmella Guidoccio (late Gabrielle), Orlando Pagnotta (Maria), Rosetta Fiorelli (Giuseppe), Egidio Pagnotta (Maria). Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and despite his illness he always knew when hockey was on. He loved his garden in the summer. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Saturday, February 25th, 2012 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Gregorys Parish at 11:30 a.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. The Silvano family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff of the Renal Dialysis Unit at the Sault Area Hospital for the support they gave Frank while he was in their care. We would like to extend our appreciation to the health care Professionals that saw our father on a daily basis especially the We Care staff (Annetta, Catherine, Bob) who showed him compassion and care during his illness.
