POLICICCHIO, Ottorina - It is with great sadness and sorrow in our hearts that we announce to our family and friends the passing of Ottorina at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her loving husband Giuseppe "Joe". Dear mother of Mario Policicchio (Mary Catherine) of Toronto, late Carmela Policicchio (John Chiarello) of Sault Ste. Marie, Anthony Policicchio (Susane) of Toronto and Silvana Marrelli (Ernie) of Sault Ste. Marie. Loving Nonna of Michael, Andrew, Katie, Aleksander, Matthew and Alyssa. Daughter of the late Gaetano and Teresa Palermo. Dear sister of the late Anna Mazzotta (late Angelo) of Argentina, late Rosina Cavaliere (late Domenico) of Sault Ste. Marie, late Amalia Palermo, late Giovanni Palermo (Assunta) of Italy, late Franchino Palermo (Rosina) of Toronto, late Adelina Bruni (late Luigi) of Toronto and the late Guerino Palermo (Rosina) of Sault Ste. Marie. Sister-in-law of the late Saverio of Italy, late Michele (Francesca) of Sault Ste. Marie, late Mario (Rosetta) of Toronto, late Giuseppina Muto (late Generoso) of Italy, late Agostino (Maria) of Sault Ste. Marie, Rosina Piluso (Domenico) of Italy, Maria Cavaliere (Achille) of Sault Ste. Marie and Antonio (Lina) of Sault Ste. Marie. Ottorina will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends as a "mother" to all. She is now at peace and has been greeted by her husband, daughter and family. Visitation will be at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Veronica's Church on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Ron Ambeault officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Dr. Berry, Dr. Shiafee, Dr. Ianni and the nurses in the Renal Unit and 2C Complex Care. Also a special thank you to We Care staff for allowing her to stay at home for as long as possible.
