Obituary of Matilda Sawchyn

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of our cherished mother, Matilda Sawchyn on Sunday July 29, 2012, at Grove Memorial Hospital in Fergus, Ontario in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Johnny Sawchyn, Matilda was the beloved mother of Louise Nichols (Greg), Marie Rathbone (Rodney), David, Patrick, Darnell, Rose Ann Turyk (Steve), Michael (Venie), Norman (Sue), Philip (Helmi) and the late Nicholas, late Paul, late Alexander and late Frank. Loving grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother of many. She was also predeceased by her parents Anthony and Anna Zuppa (Gennetti), her twin sister Mary and her siblings Guido (Mary) and Alfred, and sister in law of the late Lola Kotelnicki (late Joe), late Lena Roha (late Paul), late Nicky Sawchyn and late Anna Sawchyn. Friends may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Father Jerry Lazoryk officiating.
