Obituary of Lois Kaufman

Passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Sault Area Hospital after a short illness. Devoted Wife to the late William George Kaufman (2006). Cherished Mother to Pirie Kaufman (Pam), Bill Kaufman (Melinda), and Mary Brandeau (Ken). Beloved Grandma to Amanda (Kyle), Karl, Sarah, Hannah, Beth, Ian and Great Grandma to Ava. Mom was born in Sault Ste. Marie on June 2, 1927. She married our Dad on June 6, 1945 and was married to him for 60 years before he passed away. She was an awesome Mom and Grandma to all of us and a wonderful friend to many. We are all going to miss her but she is at peace now. Hey Dad - you have your "Shorty" with you now. The family would like to thank all the people who helped during Mom's illness especially Barb and Terri. We couldn't have coped without you. Mom will be missed by her dear friends Dag, Barb, and Helen. Mom also wanted to say thanks to her Red Cross girls - Gloria and Faye - who helped her stay in her home as long as she did. Please join her family and friends for a celebration of her life on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 1 pm, at Holy Trinity Church.
