LCol (Ret'd) WALLACE, Walter OStJ CD - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a great man on Monday, January 31st at the young age of 67. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Mary (Goudis). He was a proud and loving father of Blaine (Jude) and Wendy. Walter was a special brother of Betty (Nils) Christiansen, Bill (Jean) Wallace, Pat (Garry) McFarlane, Sylvia (Bill) Mann and the late Roy Wallace. He was a dear brother-in-law to Jeannie (Josef) Brand, George (Katherine) Goudis, Nancy (Rob) Huestis, Dianne Scott, Jim (Deb) Goudis, Jo-Ann Goudis and Kathe (Wally) Lahti. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Eugenia Wallace. Walter was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Artillery, life member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25, retired elementary school principal, respected community member and cherished friend of many. Join us in celebrating Walter's life at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758 on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in the Chapel at 1 p.m. with Reverend Bruce McLeish and Reverend Phil Miller officiating.
